Rising Star Bastian Buus Signs Long-Term Agreement With Porsche Motorsport

The 2023 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion steps up from junior driver to a long-term agreement with Porsche Motorsport.

Bastian Buus has been on the fast track since he swapped his go-kart for a Porsche just four years ago and secured the European GT4 championship with German squad Allied-Racing. Subsequently the Danish talent spent two seasons in the Porsche Carrera Cup, where several top results earned him the coveted role of Porsche Junior in 2023. This culminated in a championship victory in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with Austrian Lechner Racing – and now the 20-year-old rising star can finally announce a contract with Porsche Motorsport.

The long-term agreement means that Bastian Buus will be deployed to various private Porsche teams to support the factory and achieve top results in GT3 championships worldwide. Buus has embarked on a full season in the GT World Challenge Asia as well as the GT World Challenge Endurance Cup, and earlier this year, he participated in the Asian Le Mans Series and the Bathurst 12 Hour. Buus is also on the entry list for this year's editions of the legendary 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps.

In addition to his work on the racetracks, the agreement with Porsche Motorsport also makes Bastian Buus an ambassador for the factory, involving him in a range of media-related tasks, as well as making him available for development work.
