Danish Racing Talent Alba Hurup Larsen Makes Formula 4 Debut in India

The 15-year-old winner of Girls On Track – Rising Stars kickstarts her Formula 4 career by participating in the season premiere of the F4 Indian Championship.

Danish racing talent Alba Hurup Larsen is making her Formula 4 debut earlier than expected. Last week, Alba Hurup Larsen announced a testing program with the Italian team Prema Racing, which was intended to prepare the Dane for a debut in the junior series in 2025. Since then, a unique opportunity has arisen to participate in the season premiere of the 2024 edition of the Indian Formula 4 Championship – the Dane will line up for her first Formula 4 race this coming weekend.

"I am incredibly excited and thrilled to be getting ready for my first Formula 4 race! It’s a huge opportunity that suddenly came up, and even though I had prepared myself to compete only in 2025, I am happy and highly motivated to get the chance already now. It’s a fantastic opportunity to challenge both myself and some of the best young junior talents,” says Alba Hurup Larsen.

While it’s her debut in a race, the Formula 4 car is not unfamiliar territory for Alba Hurup Larsen, who, alongside her busy karting program, has completed several successful Formula 4 tests with the Spanish junior team TC Racing. Alba Hurup Larsen will compete for the Indian team Speed Demons Delhi, supported by the Dutch top team MP Motorsport, when the first round of the F4 Indian Championship takes place at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday, August 24.
